A new Elf House

Audley End Miniature Railway

The new Elf House within the fairy and Elf Walk at Audley End Miniature Railway

We've just completed a lovely little project at Audley End Miniature Railway in Saffron Walden, Essex. If you've not heard of it, it's a brilliant miniature railway attraction, that was originally designed by Lord Braybrooke, to ride around his Capability Brown designed gardens.

When his daughter, Amanda Murray took over the running of the railway a few years ago, she created a Fairy and Elf Walk to help widen the appeal and offer customers more reasons to stay when they do come and visit.

This has now proved to be so popular that it needed a little more play to keep visitors even more entertained within the woodland walk. So our team came along and helped the Audley End elves with a design and build for a playful little Elf House.

The Railway weaves its way around the estate and takes itself through tunnels, past little stations and even over the River Cam. Throughout the length of the track there are teddy bears in their homes too. These have been donated by customers for many years and it's a tradition that still exists today.

It's a gorgeous setting and whilst our build is only a little one, it's been designed to fit right into the style and feel of the rest of the Fairy and Elf Walk. We love it.
