Adventure Play Extension at Fort Douglas

Dalkeith Country Park

The start of the adventure work at Dalkeith

Fort Douglas is a well established and popular treehouse based play area within Dalkeith Country Park. It's only been open for 18 months and has proved so popular already, that an extension was needed to offer even more for visitors to do and add some additional challenges and play elements. This is where we come in.

The centre piece for this first phase is a new zip wire hub that can be accessed from the existing ground play or via a brand new bridge over the access road. We have also planned a new super-sneaky route to it too, which you can only get to if you can complete the tricky maze inside the fort itself. The zip wires then fire you off in different directions to lead into other areas of connected play.

Unusually the Scottish weather has been kind(ish) so we are well on track for completion and it will all be ready to play on by Easter. Watch this space for more of the build, whilst it's underway.
