Audley End Enchanted

Our friends at Audley End Miniature Railway were one of the unlucky attractions that had to cancel the proposed opening of their new adventure play, just before the lockdown took hold.

We'd worked with them to complete lovely railway-themed play to sit in their lawned area between the cafe and the Fairy and Elf Walk. The build took place over the first few months of this year and you can see some pictures in build here.

On the ground that we've used a rubber matting that delivers good fall protection as well as allowing the grass to grow through and be protected from being trampled.

We're watching some very interesting innovations from different attractions around the world and Audley End have added 'Audley End Enchanted’. It's a new channel they’ve created with storytelling and craft-making delivered online by some of their team, whilst the site is closed.

It's such a shame to see this play closed off with loads of children locked away, unable to play on it. The only upside is that at least it's letting the ground recover and the grass to grow through and will be open at some point in the summer for everyone to come and enjoy.
