Twin Racing Slides for the Adventure Play at Fort Douglas

Dalkeith Country Park

The slide arrives at site ready for the unload lead image

We recently showed you the first phase of our new Orangerie Adventure Play extension at Dalkeith Country park. We also showed you some of the plans for phase two here.

Back in 2016 the park, stable yard and courtyard were all redeveloped to create a world-class visitor attraction known as Fort Douglas. This project encompassed the development of the adventure play offering with the imposing Fort Treehouse as the centrepiece.

Progress at the new Dalkeith Fort Douglas

Our initial brief was to extend the existing adventure play with the Orangerie Extension to offer even more for visitors young and old whilst adding some additional challenges and play elements.

At the same time, we were also planning further extensions to add even more adventure, even more play and to be great fun for even more customers - young and old.

The team are now on site creating the Adventure Play extension. It's a brilliantly ambitious build with the reward for completing the tree bound maze being a long slide down one of the super tall twin racing slides. You can see them arriving on site and being installed.
